ELEANA MANSION - MOLYVOS

In the heart of Molyvos, on a little market square with shops and restaurant, you’ll find the historical Mansion Eleana, a two story high building with private garden. The view from the house on the castle and coastline is breathtaking. The house is at walking distance from the harbour and local beach. It offers free parking close by.

The Eleana Mansion offers luxury rental with 4 bedrooms, salon, newly installed kitchen with all amenities and 2 comfortable bathrooms. The mansion easily offers accommodation for up to eight people.

The mansion has been recently renovated, carefully mixing some original and new furniture. The accommodation is equipped with air conditioning, Plasma TV, DVD, CD\Radio, Telephone\Fax and internet connection. Cleaning and linen change two times a week.

Accommodation & Services

The historical classifies mansion was constructed end of the 19th century, when officially the island was still under Turkish occupation, which ended in 1912. The builder of the house was a Greek rich merchant of Turkish wood in the whole of Europe.

As the Greek tradition goes, the Greek family has to provide the girls a house as a wedding gift. The trader had two daughters, therefore two resembling houses were built next to each other in the center of Molyvos under the century old platen tree.

The house disposes of a big garden where one can relax in privacy. The jasmine planted around provides an enchanting smell and the herb garden can be used for experimenting in the kitchen.

The marble stairs leads the entrance. The house itself consists of two long stretched floors where each room has its own character due to the carefully chosen different colors and very distinct ceilings. Therefore each room has its own name, named after the historical feminine occupants of the mansion, who’s original photographs are found in the house. The salon where visitors were entertained has become a whole of old and new, some original furniture with all the modern amenities, flat screen TV, DVD player and music installation.

Niki’s room, the downstairs bedroom or the blue room, originally the dining room where the family and guests were served a luxury several courses long meal. The room now consists of two queen size beds.

The new luxury equipped kitchen has been installed behind following the old tradition, all appliances necessary to have a home cooked meal are at disposal, including fridge, cooker, microwave, water cooker, coffee machine as the necessary kitchen equipment.

The house has two modern bathrooms, comfortably installed with a huge shower area, linen and hairdryer and the downstairs bathroom disposes of a washing machine. The impressive stairway leads to the upper floor with three bedrooms. The first on the backside is Elenea’s room with frontal sea view, a very romantic bedroom with its violet color and queen size bed.

The second bedroom in front with the garden and seaview is Mary’s room or the bridal suite, with its playful salmon colored ceiling and queen size bed. The adjoining bedroom is Irini’s room, with youthful pistachio color and garden and seaview and contains two single beds. All rooms have been equipped with a mixture of carefully chosen original and modern furniture, the eclectic style in order not to lose the history of the mansion, but with all modern amenities to make your stay very agreeable.

The mansion disposes of air-conditioning (not included), plasma TV, DVD, radio\cd, telephone\fax and internet connection for your comfort. The house will be cleaned two times per week, including linen change and final cleaning. It is Elenea’s wish to make her home and dream open to the public, adding a touch of traditional glamour during your stay in Molyvos. This is until now a unique project in the village and leans towards a different kind of holiday, a return to tradition and history.
